Cultural Debate, Intellectual Duel: Qingdao Hicorp Group's Corporate Culture Knowledge Contest Concludes Successfully
As the corporate culture knowledge contest unfolded, the activities related to Qingdao Hicorp Group's "Corporate Culture Promotion Month" in the first lunar month came to a successful close. Launched on February 5, 2025, the "Corporate Culture Promotion Month" aimed to deeply enhance all employees' identification with and practice of Hicorp's corporate culture. The corporate culture knowledge contest served as a comprehensive assessment of the previous period's review and study of the corporate culture.
On March 1, the final of Qingdao Hicorp Group's 2025 Corporate Culture Knowledge Contest was held in the multi-functional hall at the group's headquarters. Deputy General Manager of the group, Chen Xiuyan, along with representatives of middle-level management and employees, attended the event.
The contest consisted of two stages: the preliminary selection and the final. The preliminary selection kicked off in late February, with each company as a unit. All employees responded enthusiastically and actively participated in answering questions, creating a strong corporate culture atmosphere. After fierce competition in the preliminary selection, eight teams from Hicorp machinery, Hicorp Heavy Industries, Qingdao Putian, and the group's functional departments emerged as finalists.
The final adopted a live quiz format, divided into three rounds: team mandatory questions, team buzzer questions, and subjective essay questions. The question types covered multiple-choice questions (both single and multiple answers), true-or-false questions, and fill-in-the-blank questions. The content encompassed various aspects, including the company's development history, cultural concepts, Conversations with the Chairman, operations management, and institutional processes, aiming to enable the contestants to comprehensively demonstrate their familiarity with and in-depth understanding of the corporate culture.
The contestants made full use of their well-mastered knowledge of corporate culture, answering questions fluently and earning thunderous applause from the audience. In the team mandatory questions round, each team randomly selected questions, and the contestants accurately answered based on their solid grasp of the knowledge, showcasing their profound foundations. During the team buzzer questions round, the contestants were energetic, composed, confident, quick-witted, and eager to answer, demonstrating their agile thinking. The subjective essay questions round was the most challenging. The main contestants from each team stepped forward to compete on the same stage, delivering impromptu discussions and engaging in intense competition, pushing the atmosphere to a new height. The judges scored based on the depth, logical coherence, and practical application of the answers.
After more than an hour of intense competition, the Wisdom Victory Vanguard Team from Hicorp textile claimed the championship. The Future Vanguard Team from Hicorp Heavy Industries won the second prize, and the Intelligence Leadership Team secured the third prize.
Deputy General Manager Chen Xiuyan delivered a concluding speech, fully affirming the outstanding performances of all participating teams. She also shared her understanding of corporate culture through case studies. Ms. Chen emphasized that corporate culture is not merely a slogan or a set of questions to be memorized; it is reflected in every detail of daily work. A company can survive for a year by luck, operate for ten years through management, but only rely on culture to achieve long-lasting success. As Qingdao Hicorp Group approaches its 59th anniversary this year and will enter the inaugural year of its 60th anniversary next year, the company's sustained development and success over nearly six decades cannot be separated from the unwavering commitment and implementation of corporate culture by generations of Hicorp employees. Corporate culture is like spring rain, "moistening things silently." It requires all Hicorp employees to jointly uphold and practice it, internalizing it in their hearts and expressing it through their actions, making it a powerful driving force for the continuous development of both individuals and the company.
